CoSeC is a core group of people that supports a wide range of computational scientific and engineering communities.

CoSeC is driven by the betterment of computational research software. The Centre’s direction and activities are shaped by both national need and that of the domain-specific requirements of the communities it enables.

The Centre supports a large team of Research Technical Professionals, with a diverse set of skills and backgrounds, all based in a supportive working environment within the UK’s National Laboratories. The expertise embodied within CoSeC has been built up over decades, representing a significant national capability.

CoSeC’s activities are coordinated by its Programme Office, headed by the CoSeC Programme Manager Damian Jones. The programme office is a team of people based at both STFC Daresbury Laboratory and STFC Rutherford Appleton Laboratory.
